Dividend or Distribution Reinvestment Plans (DRIP) allow shareholders to reinvest their dividends/distribution to purchase additional shares. A DRIP plan requires that you own shares in your name to be eligible to participate. Features and fees differ from plan to plan; some offer Optional Cash Purchase, which allows holders to purchase more shares through the plan adminstrator in addition to those acquired through reinvestment.
Under the terms and conditions of the plan, shares are purchased on a predetermined schedule. Therefore, the share price on the date of investment may differ from the share price at the time of your purchase request.
